Power Rankings 2.0

Please keep in mind this is my own personal opinion about where each team stands overall. If you disagree with where I have certain teams placed or you think there are other teams that deserve a spot on the list, let your opinion be heard!

  1. 1/2-4 Schäffer (10-0) [Last Ranking (7)]

Despite some very close games, it is hard to argue with this team being ranked 1st. As the only remaining undefeated team in the league, they have earned this ranking,  With 5 games left in the regular season, it will be interesting to see if they can keep the undefeated streak alive with a couple tough matchups on the horizon

  1. 3-12 Schäffer (9-1) [ Last Ranking (1)]

This team was absolutely destroying teams at the start of the year, not losing a game (including seeding tournament) until week 9. One might argue they lost during Retro Week (to MDH), but they still lost all the regular game modes. As many have noticed, games have started to get closer for this team – are they beginning to show signs of weakness?

  1. 5-10 Schäffer (8-1) [Last Ranking (2)]

Despite an early loss to 1M this year, 5-10S has been on a roll ever since. Their games have been close against all teams, but this team might have the best doctor game in Lister right now to fall back on – other team’s doctors are never safe.

  1. 7-9 Schäffer (8-1) [Last Ranking (3)]

Having suffered a loss in week 2 to 5-10S, they haven’t looked back and have been absolutely crushing teams as of late. With a good group of upper year talent and a remarkable group of first-year talent, this could be the team to beat later on.

  1. Main Dungeon Henday (8-2) [Last Ranking (9)

Another team with only 2 losses and both coming to 2 of the stronger teams in the league. Having taken down 3-12S and 2-3H, this team solidified its spot as one of the best teams in the league. MDH has a lot of upper years and experience, which in the first half of the season can win you games.

  1. 10 Kelsey (8-2) [Last Ranking (Unranked)]

I think this team has shocked a lot of people. Starting the year out 6-0, they lost 2 games in a row but both being by slim margins (one against 1/2-4S in particular which they lead 2-0 and lost by 2 players in game 5.) They picked it back up and ended first semester with 2 wins. There’s nothing flashy about this team, they just play a great basic dodgeball game hitting shaggers early and holding long cycles.

  1. 1 Mackenzie (7-2) [Last Ranking (4)]

1 Mac had a hot start to the year but have suffered a couple losses and their games  have become very close recently. That being said, they are still one of the top teams in this league and can put up a good fight with any of the other top teams in the league.

  1. 6-11 Schäffer (8-2) [Last Ranking (10)]

Having only lost 2 games thus far and both being at the hands of 2 of the best teams in the league, it’s fair to say that 6-11S is another very strong team in this league.

  1. 3 Mackenzie (6-4) [Last ranking (8)]

3M might have a 6-4 record but don’t let that fool you – this is a good team and could be ranked way higher. Having lost games to 3-12S, 1/2-4S, 2-3H and 6-11S all 3-2 and all coming down to game 5. This team could be 10-0 right now and their record definitely doesn’t reflect how good they are. With an easier schedule coming up for the second half of the year, look for them to move up in the standings and maybe find themselves higher in the next power rankings.

  1. 2-3 Henday (6-4) [Last ranking (6)]

This team has shown they can win games but seem to have a tough time with the league’s best teams. With the rest of the league getting better and catching up or passing them, 2-3H needs to get better too or they could see themselves slip out of the top half of the league.

  1. Main Kelsey (6-3) [Last Ranking (Unranked)]

Another team that has quietly put together a solid respectable record, yet again MK hasn’t played any of the league’s best yet. But don’t write them off when they do get the chance to play a top-ranked team.

On The Bubble

9 Henday (6-3) [Last Ranking (Unranked)]: 9H had a fairly easy schedule to start the year and have yet to play any of the top tier teams and a couple loses to the middle of the pack teams sees them just outside of the top 10. When this team gets a full set of players, they are extremely dangerous (if only it happened more often).

3 Kelsey (6-4) [Last ranking (unranked)]: 3K had a very rough start to the year but has since gone on a roll and got themselves to a respectable 5-3. They need to get over the hump and beat some good teams to find themselves in the power rankings.

4 Mackenzie (6-4) [Last Ranking (Unranked)]: 4M has the potential to be a good team but they often find themselves in close games with lesser opponents and getting stomped by top-tier teams. To get to the next level, they’ll have to beat some good teams and separate themselves from the weaker ones.
